Region:  As we look at the weather charts today, we see some disturbing images.  There are currently four low pressure systems churning toward our islands of the Western Pacific and the Southeast Asia Peninsula.

The following emergency messages have been issued:

As of 1:00 pm on August 18, tropical storm Dianmu was estimated to be 189 km east-northeast of Haikou, China and forecast to move west at 7.5 km/hour towards northern Vietnam. The Vietnamese National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting predicts that Dianmu will make landfall in the northern region of Vietnam near Nam Dinh and Thai Binh provinces in the afternoon of Friday, August 19 with estimated maximum winds reaching 102 km/hour. Heavy rainfall with localized flooding is expected for the northeastern provinces of Vietnam.

Many areas have already been saturated with heavy rain.  Please keep those who live in these areas in your prayers!
